Construction works (Paver)
Aim: As a result, students will become pavers who will be able to work in road construction and landscape improvement, will be able to construct pavements for streets and other areas from prefabricates and materials made from of concrete, asphalt, natural or artificial paving stones.
Outcomes and results: After successfully completing this course, students will obtain the necessary knowledge, skills and competences to prepare work site for paving works; to be able to develop pavement performance map; to check the tools and mechanisms and be able to prevent their damage; to perform surface flattening and build paths; to be able to choose the necessary paving materials and perform simple natural stone processing operations; to develop understanding and ability to determine the amount of materials needed; to perform paving work according to a particular pattern or drawing on both straight and slope surfaces; to make pavement repairs; know and comply with occupational health safety, electrical safety and fire safety requirements; to be able to perform first aid.
