From March 4 to March 8, within the Erasmus+ project "Professional Development Programme for Adult Educators 2023" (project No 2023-1-LV01-KA122-ADU-000145461), the methodologist of the professional further education institution "Mācību centrs plus" participated in the course "Emotional Intelligence: identify, harness & manage emotions" in Barcelona, Spain.

The course covered a variety of topics on the importance and impact of emotional intelligence in modern education, work and everyday life. Participants had the great opportunity to work in groups and learn practical skills and techniques to improve communication, better understand other people and foster cooperation. Interesting methods were discussed, such as the "Six Hats Method", which allows effective discussion, analysis and informed decision-making on various work issues, situations and problems. Participants actively engaged in discussions, practical work and shared their experiences. This course provided a comprehensive insight into the practical application of emotional intelligence and theory of mind in a variety of life situations, to promote better communication and understanding, cooperation and respectful relationships.
