What does a social worker do?

Being there for people who face life difficulties, supporting and helping them adapt is the job of a social worker. They work with various people: children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, supporting them in difficult moments and helping develop skills for independent living.

The course will teach you to understand and meet the basic and individual needs of those in your care: conducting hygienic procedures, assisting with mobility, and providing emotional support.

What will you learn?

  • Plan and organize care for those in your care.

  • Take care of a dependent's home, ensuring comfort and safety.

  • Maintain the personal hygiene of the dependent, considering their age and health status.

  • Use mobility aids and assist the dependent with movement.

  • Organize social activities for the dependent.

  • Provide emotional support, including palliative care and health monitoring.

  • Master first aid skills and documentation management for caregiving.

  • Interact with the client's family, medical, and social services to coordinate care.
