Basics of social care

Aim: to obtain knowledge and skills in social care basics; to prepare for work in a client’s living place or a social care facility, to help people who are unable to take care of themselves, maintain hygiene, prepare food, eat or clean; to provide those people with necessities and help them to keep in touch with the society.

Outcomes and results: after successfully completing this course, students will obtain knowledge, skills and competences in social care process; will be able to provide daily personal care for clients, daily chores; will be familiar with daily work routine and its specifics in living places and in social care facilities.
